Our Story
Sonic Haven Studios was founded in 2018 by Amelia Sterling and David Chen, two passionate audio engineers with a vision to create a world-class podcasting facility in the heart of Toronto. Recognizing the growing demand for high-quality audio production services, they set out to build a studio that would cater to both emerging and established podcasters. Starting with a small, acoustically treated room and a handful of microphones, Sonic Haven quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional sound quality and personalized service. From local independent creators to large organizations, podcasters from all over the Greater Toronto Area started recognizing the distinct edge Sonic Haven offered. The location just north of the downtown core also provides great access to talent all around the city.
Over the years, Sonic Haven Studios has expanded its facilities and services to meet the evolving needs of the podcasting industry. We now offer a comprehensive suite of solutions, including studio recording, audio editing and mixing, podcast distribution, cover art design, and podcast consulting. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest level of support and expertise. We are proud to have helped countless podcasters launch successful shows and reach a wider audience.

Amelia brings over 15 years of experience in audio engineering to Sonic Haven Studios. Her expertise in sound design and recording techniques ensures every podcast sounds its best. She is a graduate of the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART).
David Chen
Co-Founder & Podcast Consultant
David's background in marketing and business development helps podcasters create successful shows from the ground up. He provides guidance on concept development, monetization strategies, and audience engagement. David's passion for local audio content is infectious.
Sarah Kapoor
Audio Editor & Mixing Specialist
Sarah is a meticulous audio editor with a keen ear for detail. She refines recordings, removes unwanted noise, and creates a polished and professional sound. Sarah recently completed her Masters in Audio Engineering from York University.
Michael Donovan
Graphic Designer
Michael is responsible for the visual aspects of podcasts. He is able to capture the essence of the project in a single image. His cover art and creative designs are eye-catching, captivating potential listeners.
